Hi, I'm Jannah

Founder of House of Lykke and, most importantly, mum to my wonderful little boy, Theo.

Like many parents, life often feels busy. Between work, family life and the endless to-do lists, I found myself constantly moving from one task to the next, often wishing I could slow down and be more present.

Everything changed when I started setting aside just 45 minutes each day with Theo — no distractions, no rushing, no multitasking. Just child-led play and the chance to simply enjoy being together.

What surprised me most wasn't just how engaged he was — it was how much those moments meant to both of us. Those 45 minutes became our little pocket of calm in otherwise busy days. We explored, imagined, laughed and created memories that I knew I'd treasure forever.

That feeling inspired House of Lykke.

I wanted to create thoughtfully designed sensory play experiences that spark curiosity, encourage imagination and make it easier for families to enjoy meaningful, screen-free moments together. Every kit is carefully created to inspire open-ended play, helping little ones learn, explore and discover at their own pace.

My hope is that every House of Lykke kit brings a little more joy, creativity and connection into your home, creating moments you'll treasure just as much as I treasure ours.

Who we are

What data we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email, delivery address, and payment information. When you join the Lykke Letter we collect your email address, optional first name and marketing consent. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and never stored on our systems.

How we use your data
To process orders, send confirmations and shipping updates, and — if you actively opt in — send the Lykke Letter, new collection news and occasional offers. Subscriber details may be transferred to our email marketing provider so we can manage the mailing list. We do not sell your data.

Essential cookies only. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Email hello@houseoflykkeplay.com.

Data retention
Order data is retained for up to 7 years as required by UK tax law. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

House of Lykke is operated by Jannah as a sole trader in the UK. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Products
All kits are handmade to order using natural materials including rice, chickpeas, pasta, and other grains, coloured with non-toxic food colouring or AP acrylic paints. Not intended for consumption. Suitable for ages 18 months and over. Always supervise children during play.

Pricing and payment
All prices are in GBP. Payment is taken securely via Stripe at the time of order.

Shipping
We aim to dispatch within 3–5 working days. UK standard delivery £1.99. Free shipping on orders over £35.

Returns and refunds
Due to the handmade and perishable nature of our products we cannot accept general returns. If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours at hello@houseoflykkeplay.com with a photo. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.

Allergens
Made in a home environment that may contain gluten, nuts, and other allergens. Please contact us before ordering if your child has known allergies.

Processing time
All kits are handmade to order. Please allow 3–5 working days for preparation and dispatch.

UK delivery
Standard: £1.99 (Royal Mail 2nd Class, 2–4 working days after dispatch). Free on orders over £35.

International shipping
Currently UK only. International shipping coming soon.

Tracking
